Review Right Back to the site

Privacy notice

What happens to the details you give us, in plain English. Last updated 12 October 2026.

Who we are

Review Right. For the details you give us on this website, we are the controller: we decide how they are used.

What we collect

When you ask for a free Google audit, we collect your business name, your name, your email address, your mobile number, and your answers to three questions: the kind of business you run, roughly how many Google reviews you have, and roughly how many customers you see a month. We also note that the request came from this website.

Like any website, the service that delivers this site (Cloudflare) sees your IP address and keeps short-lived logs to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks. We don't use it to identify you.

Why we use it, and the law we rely on

To prepare your audit, send it to you and answer your questions about it. The lawful basis is that you asked for it: we need these details to do what you requested (taking steps at your request before any contract).

To follow up once about your audit, by email, or by phone only if the email bounces. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in replying to a business that asked us for something. You can tell us to stop at any time.

We do not add you to a newsletter, we do not sell or share your details for anyone else's marketing, and we make no automated decisions about you.

You don't have to give us these details, but without them we can't prepare or send your audit.

Who else handles them

A small number of suppliers handle your details for us, only on our instructions and under contract: our website host (Cloudflare), our email provider, and our customer relationship system (GoHighLevel), which keeps a record of your request so we can follow it up.

Cloudflare and GoHighLevel are based in the United States, so your details may be handled there. When personal data leaves the UK we make sure it is protected by safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK's data bridge with the United States or the International Data Transfer Addendum. Ask us if you'd like details.

How long we keep them

Until we have sent your audit and answered your questions, and no longer than 12 months if you don't become a customer. If you do, we keep them for as long as you use the service and then for as long as the law requires, normally six years for accounting records.

Your browser

This site sets no cookies and runs no tracking or advertising scripts. Its fonts, images and video are served from our own site, so loading a page doesn't tell any other company you visited. If you start the audit form, your answers are saved in your own browser so you don't have to type them again, and they are cleared once your request is sent. You can also clear them by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, delete them or limit how we use them, object to how we use them, or ask for a copy to move to someone else. To do any of these, contact us. It's free, and we'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Your customers' details

When a business uses Review Right, we message that business's own customers on its behalf: a review request after a visit, up to three reminders, and nothing else. For those customers' details (usually a name, a mobile number or email address, and the date of the visit) the business is the controller and we are its processor, acting only on its instructions under a written data processing agreement. Every message says how to stop, and a stop request is honoured across every channel. If you are one of those customers, the business you visited is the best place to start with any question, and you can also contact us.

Changes

If we change how we use your details, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
